A former Dutch professional runner turned stroopwafel baker in Billings, Montana, faces the reality that after 40 years of baking cookies he has to stop.

 

But how do you give up something that's been your life for so long?

As retirement looms, he questions who he has become, the choices that brought him here, and the choice still ahead.

The Cookie Man is a 30 minute documentary made by Thomas Schenk and Alette Boogman.

Thomas Schenk is a professional film editor from the Netherlands. He has worked on documentaries and global commercial films for brands like adidas, Absolut Vodka, Google and many more. The Cookie Man is his directing debut.

Alette Boogman is a Montana-born creative producer and graduate of the University of Montana, now living in the Netherlands. She works at an award-winning music house where she produces music & sound design for commercials and short films.
